Stitches out!

This morning I got the stitches in my feet removed. The medical assistant, Monique, did an awesome job and was very careful. I had imagined my feet looking so much worse, but they didn't look as bad as I had imagined.
I've been in pain. During the day it's not so bad, but at night, it's sometimes unbearable. I'll start by taking three or four advil, then I take a Norco a few hours later, and by 6 pm I'm taking an Oxy. I slept pretty much all day yesterday, felt exhausted, probably was allowing my body to heal.
This experience has me feeling more empathy for handicap people. When There's no wheel chairs at a store, what choice do they have?
I'm grateful my boyfriend can just pick me up and load me into the car.

Been a while... 4 weeks post op

It's been a while, I apologize, I guess I've been catching up on things since I can walk and drive again. The only pain I'm experiencing is mostly in the evening, after I've been on my feet all day (dishes, errands etc) and then they are also swollen. I haven't used my wheel chair in at least two weeks, only to sit and sew :) The biggest thing bothering me right now is the 10 pounds I've gained in only four weeks. I want to go for a run! I need to feel cardio again. I'm getting cabin fever being stuck in this house mostly, but I know it's going to be great, and I just have to let myself heal.
